If you suffer from insomnia, check out this interview I did recently at Rhodes College for their Echoes of Memphis project. Better than counting sheep! (Just kidding, folks - I was flattered to be asked to participate). Four parts in all; the rest can be watched here.

The great Roland Janes at work in Sam Phillps Recording Service here in Memphis, Tennessee, June 15, 2012. We were lucky enough to be recording with Roland, and we took a lot of pictures over on our Facebook page. Phillips is the kind of studio they don’t make anymore, and Roland is a one-of-a-kind producer and musician with a career that stretches back to the birth of rock n roll in Memphis. What a thrill to get to work with him.
In what has become an annual tradition, I’m re-posting this track for everybody who tried but did not get in to South By Southwest. (We won’t be there this year due to some opening slots we obviously couldn’t pass up, in St. Louis, Nashville, and Little Rock).
The download button will work for the rest of the week. Feel free to send it around!

Not only is Bon Iver’s workout video apparently real, he also makes his band exercise. Not a joke.
