May shows, Lucero picnic, & Oxford American mag
Just a few shows in May to tell you about, most of them close to home.
This Saturday is Cinco de Mayo, and we’ll be at the Brass Door in downtown Memphis. This is during the Beale Street Music Festival, so you can just wander on up afterwards. This will also be a rare appearance with Al Gamble on keys – the full One Four Fives lineup. Don’t miss it!
Saturday, May 18 we’re super excited to be on the bill at the Lucero Family Picnic in Batesville, AR (about 2 1/2 hours from Memphis). Also appearing are some incredible acts like Glossary, Lee Baines, Austin Lucas, and Shooter Jennings. This one will be worth a day trip, trust me.
Lastly, it’s hard to believe, but the The Man That Time Forgot has been out almost a year, and the Oxford American magazine is streaming it for free all week. It’s a pretty big honor to get the nod from “the Southerm magazine of good writing”. Give it a listen if you haven’t already.
That’s it for now. Hope to see you soon!
